Mr. Augustine Oluyemisi Olorunsola

Non Exective Director

A geologist with over 35 years of experience in petroleum engineering practice, Olorunsola graduated in 1979 with a Second-Class Upper division in Geology from the University of Ilorin. He began his career in various petroleum engineering roles at Agip (ENI) in Nigeria, Italy, and France before joining Shell (SPDC) in 1990. At Shell, he eventually became the First Vice President of Gas and Power for Shell sub-Saharan Africa.

 

Upon retiring from Shell in 2011, Olorunsola took up a position as the Director of Petroleum Resources for the Federal Government, which he held until 2013. He has also provided his expertise as a ‘Strategic Business Adviser’ to two Ministers of Petroleum Resources. Olorunsola joined the Board of Directors on April 19, 2016.
